At Empower You, Period, we are deeply committed to protecting the privacy of our community, including the parents, legal guardians, young women, and B2B institutional partners (such as private schools and hospitals) who use our website and services.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website, purchase our "Stay Ready" carry cases, sign up for our subscription models, or register for our events (via Eventbrite or direct walk-up).

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us, as well as information gathered automatically when you navigate our site.

A. Personal Information You Provide

  • Account & Subscription Data: Name, email address, mailing address, billing address, phone number, and account passwords when you purchase a product, sign up for a subscription model, or fill out a B2B service inquiry.

  • Child/Dependent Demographics: To ensure our educational materials and subscription boxes are relevant, parents may choose to provide age or grade ranges for their daughters (ages 9–17). We do not intentionally collect directly identifiable personal information from minors.

  • Event Registration: Name, contact information, and specific event-related preferences when registering for the July Box Launch, conferences, or workshops.

  • Payment Data: All financial transactions are processed securely through our third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal). We do not store your raw credit card data on our servers.

B. Information Collected Automatically

  • Log and Usage Data: IP addresses, browser types, operating systems, referring URLs, device information, and pages viewed on our site.

  • Cookies and Tracking Technologies: We use cookies, web beacons, and tracking pixels (such as the Meta/Instagram pixel and Google Analytics) to monitor website performance, improve our SEO, track the success of our targeted sales funnels, and deliver relevant marketing campaigns.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to fulfill our mission and power our organizational growth, specifically to:

  • Process your orders, subscription boxes, and event registrations.

  • Manage and maintain your B2B institutional partnership or individual account.

  • Analyze website performance, Google visibility, and user behavior to improve our user experience.

  • Send you marketing communications, newsletters, and promotional materials regarding our "It’s Your Time" campaigns, upcoming conferences, and new product launches (you can opt out at any time).

  • Capture and utilize photo/video media from our live events for grassroots marketing and social media growth, as outlined in our Terms of Service.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We only share information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Third-Party Service Providers: We share data with trusted vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as website hosting, e-commerce optimization, email delivery, data analytics, and payment processing.

  • B2B Partners & Institutions: If you participate in a program sponsored by a specific school or organization, basic attendance or cohort completion metrics may be shared with that institutional partner.

  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental request, or to protect the safety, rights, and property of Empower You, Period, our users, or the public.

4. Children’s Privacy & COPPA Compliance

Our educational mission serves young women ages 9–17. We strictly comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

  • No Direct Collection: Our website, subscription services, and e-commerce checkouts are directed entirely to parents, legal guardians, and adult institutional representatives. We do not knowingly market to or collect personal data directly from children under the age of 13.

  • Parental Control: If a parent or guardian becomes aware that their child under 13 has provided us with personal information without consent, please contact us immediately so we can permanently delete that information from our systems.

5. Security of Your Information

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures—including SSL encryption and secure API integrations—to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. However, please note that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
